We Miss You!

We Miss You!

Can I tell you a secret?

When I first began as the Youth Services Librarian in 2007, I was really nervous about storytime.  I'd spent the majority of my 22-year teaching career at Alma Primary School, first teaching Kindergarten then teaching library for many years.  But, as you know, there is a WORLD of developmental difference in toddlers and preschoolers and a kindergartner!  And there were parents!  How was I going to sing in front of parents?  After a few months, however, I became more comfortable and grew to truly love my storytime families.  I love watching the interaction between the children and their grownups at storytime as well as watching the little ones grow up from month to month.  Tuesdays and Thursdays are my favorite days of the week.

Changes

Of course, Covid19 brought a dramatic halt to our in-person programming, and I've missed seeing everyone.  (Fred misses you too!)  Miller Branch Manager, Tiffany DeVries and Windsor Drive Branch Manager Rachel Smith have missed their storytimes as well, so we've all worked to record storytimes for you.  Some are silly, some are serious, and some are just plain crazy! We have all learned A LOT about recording and editing, and we hope you have enjoyed what you've seen.

Until we can be together....

We don't know when we will be able to gather together again, but until we do, please keep tuning in on our library's Facebook page and YouTube Channel.  We are thinking about you, and we miss you very much!
