The Main Library is open for brief visits by appointment Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Appointments are required and each appointment is for a maximum of 30 minutes. Have you written a book? The Fort Smith Public Library is committed to supporting local authors and is pleased to consider recently-published books for addition to the library’s collection. We are especially interested in titles about Fort Smith, Arkansas, and the surrounding area. Please complete the online form to tell us about your book.
Interlibrary Loan Request
The Fort Smith Public Library is part of an international resource sharing network of libraries. If you are looking for an item that is not available in our library system, we can try to borrow it from another library. We will notify you once it has arrived and you can pick it up at the FSPL location of your choice. We are not able to borrow items published within the last six months. Please complete the online form to request an item through Interlibrary Loan.
