February is National Library Lovers' Month. Do you have a crush on your library?  Here are 10+ ways you can show your library love.

1) Get and use your library card!

2) Visit your neighborhood library.  There is a FSPL location close to almost everyone!  Drop by after work or school, or during your lunch break.  If you haven’t been here in a while, you will be amazed in what we have to offer.

3) Follow the library on social media – you don’t want to miss the next book sale, stuffed-animal storytime, or author event! You can find the library on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

4)  Introduce your children and grandchildren to the library.

5) Make sure your account is up to date. Have you moved or changed your phone number? Make sure the library knows how to contact you when you decide to order the latest best-seller!

6) Visit the library website. Are you a homebody? Stream or download eBooks, audiobooks, movies, TV shows, and more from the comfort of your home using hoopla, Libby/Overdrive, kanopy, and more online resources. 7) Tell a library worker you appreciate them.

8) Attend one of our many storytimes, book clubs, crafting programs, films, other programs for kids, teens, and adults, and special events being held each month at our four locations. Find out more about our events here.

9) Tell a friend, coworker, or even a stranger in the check-out line about the library.  Most people have no idea what their library has to offer. Let them in on the best secret in town by telling them what you love about the library (or what you think they might).   

10) Support the library financially. Libraries are wonderful places, but the sad truth is that all of our cool resources are expensive (and getting more so). Purchase used books at one of our four annual book sales, on our online store, or at the Between the Pages book shop year round.   Honor and remember the readers in your life with a gift book donation, or make a tax deductible monetary donation to the Library, the Friends of the Library, or the Endowment Trust.

11) Vote in local elections - Let your local legislators know your library is an important part of your life and neighborhood!
