Wiggle Worms Storytime

Wiggle Worms Storytime

Baby storytime is BACK at the Miller Branch!  Bring your wiggle worms ages 0-24 months to a fun and interactive storytime every Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m.

Why baby storytime?

  1. Reading stories to children helps to grow and nurture imagination.  As you read to them, children can envision the stories in their minds however they choose to!  This builds creativity and their capacity to imagine.
  2. Storytimes help to enhance listening, focus, and social skills.  Even if your child doesn’t sit still for the duration of the program, you are helping them learn to have patience and focus.  They will also have opportunities to interact with other children their age after storytime concludes.
  3. Encouraging a love of reading early helps children develop important language skills.  Children who are read to are introduced to a larger vocabulary than what they will typically hear throughout a day.
  4. Storytime is a wonderful way to bond with your baby.

What do we do at a baby storytime?

We use songs, rhymes, bounces, fingerplays, and books to interact with our children.  We hope you join us soon!
