Hoopla

Hoopla is a digital media service that allows you to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV! With no waiting, titles can be streamed immediately, or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later. There are hundreds of thousands of titles to choose from, with more being added daily. Hoopla is like having your public library at your fingertips. Anytime. Anywhere.

There is a free hoopla app for Apple and Android.  It also works on smart TVs (Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV including the Fire Stick, and Roku).  For assistance in setting up your device, see the user guides below.

Kanopy

Kanopy showcases more than 30,000 of the world’s best films, including award-winning documentaries, rare and hard-to-find titles, film festival favorites, indie and classic films, and world cinema with collections from Kino Lorber, MusicBox Films, Samuel Goldwyn,The Orchard, The Great Courses, PBS and thousands of independent filmmakers.

Films can be streamed from any computer, television, mobile device or platform by downloading the Kanopy app for Amazon Fire TV, Android, Android TV, Apple TV, iOS, Chromecast or Roku.  Access to Kanopy is free with your Fort Smith Public Library card.  Kanopy is provided to library users through the generosity of the Friends of the Fort Smith Public Library.

Library2Go/OverDrive

The Fort Smith Public Library provides access to Library2Go/OverDrive for downloadable eBooks and audiobooks.  Library cardholders may browse the library’s digital collection, instantly borrow titles, and start reading or listening for free. This service is compatible with all major computers and devices, including iPhone®, iPad®, Android™, and Kindle®. All titles automatically expire at the end of the lending period.
