Libraries Are for Teens, Too!
What do you think of when you hear the word library?
You may think of shelves filled with books, computers, or a quiet place to study. What else could the library offer? It may come as a surprise, but libraries are for so much more than just studying and reading!
Besides books and DVDs, did you know that the Fort Smith Public Library provides access to some amazing digital resources? One of those can even help you pass your upcoming driving test. With the Arkansas Driving Tests database, you have free access to the state driving handbook, practice written tests, tips on overcoming text anxiety, and even some driving simulator videos. This resource has tips and tricks for car tests as CDL and motorcycle tests. The best part? You don't need a library card to access the database! Find more digital resources on the Teen page on the FSPL website.
The FSPL hosts several fun programs and events for teens in addition to providing access to various resources. Visit Youth Services at FSPL-Main to check out a banned or challenged book in honor of Banned Books Week (September 18th through 24th), and come back to celebrate TeenTober by decorating a wooden pumpkin that is perfect for fall on October 17th. Be sure to watch the events calendar for more exciting events!
