Virtual Programs For All Ages

Stay entertained, occupied, and informed by tuning into the variety of digital programs the library offers online.  From laptime storytime for our littlest ones to preschool storytime, STEAM activities, guest presenters, cooking lessons, craft videos for kids and adults, and live trivia events, there is something for everyone online through the library.  See our complete virtual calendar.  Also find us on Facebook and on YouTube.

Streaming and Downloadable Movies, TV Shows, Comics, Audiobooks, and eBooks

The library offers access to thousands of books and videos through Library2Go, Kanopy, Hoopla, TumbleBooks, and more.  Check out the resources listed on our Stream and Download page or a complete list of all of the library’s online resources on the Databases page. A library card in good standing is required for access to most of the library’s online resources.  If you need a library card, apply for a digital access-only card online or come in to apply for a regular library card.  Library cards are free for Fort Smith residents.

Digital Access-Only Library Cards

Interested in trying out the library’s online resources but don’t have a library card?  Apply for a digital access-only card online, and your new library card number will be emailed to you within one business day.  Library cards are free for Fort Smith residents.  For more information or to apply for a digital access-only card, click here.

Online Library Card Renewal

Library cards expire automatically every two years (annually for non-resident cards).  This gives the library staff a chance to update your address, phone number, or email address if needed.  Cards can be renewed in person or online here.  A card in good standing is required to check out materials from the library and to access most streaming and downloadable resources.
