Program Description

Local authors Judy Harrington and Bill Wilwers will appear at the Fort Smith Public library to promote and sign copies of their books A.B.I.L. and A.B.I.L Returns (Harrington) and Home Is Where the Hound Is and Bertie Steps Out (Wilwers).  Judy Harrington, was raised in the hills of Mountainburg and now makes her home in Fort Smith. For years, she has written short stories for publication in both magazines and literary anthologies. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, ABIL is a thought-provoking Sci-Fi novel that suggests a real possibility—AI robots can be brought to life. A blend of mystery and romance enhances this novel, as well as its sequel and upcoming trilogy.

Although not a native, Bill Wilwers has lived in Arkansas for sixty years and taught high school math here for forty-two years. His books take place in the fictional rural town of Hurlin, Arkansas during the seventies and eighties, and deal with the fictional characters living there.

Copies of the books will be available for sale and signing at this open-house style event.
