Authors in the Afternoon with Jimmy D. Jewell

Fort Smith author and historian Jimmy D. Jewell will make a special appearance to promote and sign copies of his new book, Westward Expansion: News of the Westward Movement. The adventure tales featured in the book contain many well know heroes including Jim Bridger, Jeremiah Johnston, and Kit Carson. These stories are extracted from real newspapers of the era, from 1793 – 1906.  Several local stories are also included. Copies of the Westward Expansion: News of the Westward Movement will be available for sale and signing at this open-house style event.
