Safely dispose of unused or expired medications at the Main Library on Saturday, April 24, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. as the library joins over 250 sites across Arkansas participating in Arkansas Drug Take Back Day. ID is not required and no questions will be asked. Medications will be destroyed in an environmentally safe manner, protecting drinking water, pets, and other people from the negative effects of flushing or pouring medications down the drain or throwing them in the trash. The first 75 people to turn in medication will receive a free medication lockbox. This event is a partnership between the Fort Smith Public Library and the Sebastian County Opioid Task Force.
