Free Computer Workshops Available

If you're just getting started with computers, you might be interested to know that the Fort Smith Public Library provides free computer workshops for the public. Our current workshop schedule is now available.

If you're just getting started with Windows, here's a link to a great online tutorial for you that is maintained by the public library in Northville, Michigan!

Getting Started with the Internet

If you're trying to track something (or someone) down on the Internet, a good place to get started is our Search Tools on the Internet page. Or you can check out the Fort Smith Public Library's links to Internet Resources on all sorts of topics.

Have you ever wondered what "cyberspace" looks like? If so, you'll want to check out Cyber-Geography Research, a site that brings together many different maps of the Internet. (Note: This site is graphics-intensive, so it may take a bit longer to load.)

The University of Georgia's Exploring the World Wide Web is an excellent online tutorial to the World Wide Web. For more Web pages for beginners, check out Yahoo's list.
